I preorder this and was surprised how quickly it arrived in the mail. I tried it with a mild blade and cut myself a few times on my neck. Definitely heavy and it reminds me alot of my Henson razor with the razor head design though at a different angle. I used my Merica safety razor with a Dorco blade and much better shave the second time. I love the Stone Wash finish and the American flag logo on the razor head. Beautiful safety razor that feels like a premium razor without the high price. Really worth the price as the other finishes were sold out.

I've been trying many different razors over the past year as I'm newish to safety razors. Over the year I have learned that some blades work for me and some not at all. With this little razor most of the blades work very well and give a comfortable shave. Im so happy that I pre-ordered.

Just had mine delivered in the mail today (preordered) and WOW!!! What a fine razor. 2 pass with a Personna Medprep and BBS. Even the wife noticed. I work in a world of CNC machines and wondered if the non blasted would make a difference with tooling marks still on the undersides but it was a quick and efficient shave. It was head heavy which meant less pressure needed. Great razor.

This razor was on my wish list ever since David Martin Ohioshaves did a video review of it and saying it gave him the best shave of 2023. I held off buying it to time the purchase of it in celebration of one of life’s milestones so I could justify getting yet another razor I wanted but didn’t need. I finally ordered it but, ultimately, Jake couldn’t fill the order and had to refund my money because he went out of business. But now, thanks to Matt and Razor Emporium, I was able to order it on July 4th in celebration of our nations’ 250th anniversary. The first shave on one day’s growth with a Personna Comfort Coat blade was actually a little disappointing. Had I reviewed it at that time I would have said I still preferred my Rockwell 6S and my Razorock Gamechanger with various baseplates (which may still be the case). But subsequent shaves with a Personna Gem Diamond Glide blade were more satisfying and in line with my expectations and put in on a par with those other razors. I would judge it to be about like a Rockwell 6S on the 3 or 4 plate. I am hesitant to call any razor a “grail razor” but this one along with the aforementioned ones would come the closest. It will probably be awhile before I get the urge to buy another razor.
