I had the pleasure of sending my Gillette Super Adjustable Black Beauty in to Razor Emporium initially as a tune up. The team reviewed the condition of my razor sent me a detailed list of some of the issues. They recommended a revamp and I went for it. The razor was taken apart and stripped of all old plating and then was re-plated and all minor issues corrected. The process took some time but as we are all aware, these things do take time to ensure a perfect result. I received my razor back the other day and it's incredible. It clicks correctly on all settings, the door flaps actually work properly and tighten cleanly with efficient precision. The re-plating was superb and the handle looks like it was 32 years ago right out of the package. I am extremely pleased with the result and am planning to send a few more razors to get revamped. I want to thank Matt and his team for a great job they did on my razor...Thank you all and for the reader, if your thinking of a revamp, just do it. The result is incredible.... I sent a 1952 Gillette razor for a tune up and the razor came back looking great! The tto doors were very stiff so I called and they recommended putting some mineral oil on the twist mechanism since cleaning washes away lubricating soap residue. I did and now it works great. Plus they offered to re-tune the razor if that didn't fix the problem. Bottom line: excellent service and wonderful after sale support make this service the best way to give life to an old razor. I know I will use their tune up service again!

I made my first vintage safety razor purchase from an antique store earlier this spring and sent it in for a tune-up. This service is OUTSTANDING in two regards. Customer Service - Second to NONE! Thanks to the outstanding customer services from Razor Emporium, I was notified not what make/model this newly discovered razor of mine was but they let me know that it was needing to be replated due to wear/damage over time. They were extremely helpful with getting this set up and kept me informed regarding the status of my razor every step of the way through their shop. Craftsmanship - Beyond my expectations Once my 3 piece Gillette arrived... I was stunned. I opened the package at my office and had to show all of my fellow wet shavers the beautiful new device that had arrived. I almost didn't recognize it. I shaved with it that evening, and was blown away. Its like a brand-new razor! If you have a razor that needs some TLC, or more, I can't recommend this service highly enough.

I had sent in a '71/'72 Gillette Black Beauty for a tune up that was looking pretty used and not performing or working too good anymore. I got it back quite quickly and in almost new condition ! The razor not only looks fantastic, but works great as well. I'm very pleased with the job that the folks at Razor Emporium did on it and will definitely recommend them to my friends .
