What We Do

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. Starting at $35, we offer a professional restoration that helps bring your old-school razor back to its glory days. 

*Please Note: Specialty razors include Bottom Dial Fatboy, Red Dot Fatboy, and Toggle Safety Razors.

How it Works

  1. We first clean your razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible. 
  2. Next we carefully polish the inside and out of your razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster. 
  3. Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of your razor.
  4. We carry out any painting that is needed - numbers on adjusters, tips on super speeds and black handles. We use color-matched powder coating that exactly replicates the original factory colors and process. 
  5. Razors are again cleaned and sanitized before being lubricated and mailed back home. We include a free Polishing Cloth that will safely keep the shine on your vintage find!

  2. You will purchase Shipping during checkout, this is how we will return your razor after completion.
  3. You will receive an Order Confirmation E-mail within minutes of your purchase. Click the link that says Shipping Instructions for Service Work and follow the directions. Include the ticket number / bar code scan form in your package.
  4. Send in your razor however you choose - USPS Small Flat Rate box is our recommendation. The postage you have purchased already is for return shipping.
  5. We'll let you know when we receive your razor and keep you updated during the process. 
  6. Our turn-around time is 3-5 business days once we receive your razor.

    Just like new

    I turned my Gillette flare tip HD rocket in for repair. The blade tray detached from the handle and the TTO mechanism needed to be recalibrated. I got my razor back and it looks and feels like a brand new razor. The movement is smooth and everything is tight and secure. I will definitely use razor Emporium for all of my razor restoration needs.

    NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING!!!

    I send my 59' Fatboy for a tune-up service and to be completely honest it was not what I was expecting to be!! The process took like 9 days not 3 or 5 like they claim and then when finally my Fatboy arrived I was even more disappointed I didn't see any improvements in my razor than repainted number and lubrication!! The razor was dirty and not polished at all.!!! I had to cleaned again because they send my razor with some weird yellow stains that looks like some kind if paste!! And finally my razor came in packed very poorly, not in a fancy box with the Razor Emporium logo like of those folks that make reviews on YouTube to "share" Razor Emporium's tune-up service experiences!!! I think I need to make videos on YouTube or be a blogger to have a better service!!

    Slow turn around time

    Great repair ,but after they receiving the item the turn around time was 11 business day not 3 to 5 .

    Nice job

    I originally sent this razor in for just the tune-up service. Razor Emporium emailed me...told me there was brass showing (true) and some other cosmetic problems in addition to a few mechanical problems and suggested I upgrade to the Revamp service. I didn't think this was a scam to get more money, but their opinion that I would be more happy with the Revamp. I knew the razor was not in the best of shape...but I had just wanted to see what the tune-up service would look like. But I took their advice and upgraded to the Revamp. I couldn't be happier. I'm glad I did. PS...at the same time I sent this razor in for tune-up, I also sent a 2nd razor in for the Revamp service. I just got both razors and I couldn't be more pleased with both of them.
