The replacement leather strop is completely different than the original strop. The replacement seems to be of far less quality than the original leather.

The title says it all. I must add, the customer service is also fantastic. There was a very small mix up on my order, I called and it was corrected immediately. I highly recommend shopping here.

I purchased an Civil War era strop that all of the leather was old, cracked and pretty useless. Hardware was in great shape for the age. I cleaned the tarnish off of the hardware and replaced all of the leather which brought it back to life. Thank you Razor Emporium for having the leather parts and new screws that allowed this strop to look like it is supposed to. Great Leather and Clothe strops.

I ordered the horse hide and canvas replacement strops to rebuild an old strop. Both parts were as pictured and easy to work with. The price is outstanding and both seem to outperform the parts they replaced.
