Update...

I wrote a review about a month ago regarding this razor. After getting it re-honed, it is my go-to razor. I have a more expensive razor that I alternate with. I like the weight of this razor as I am using it.

Good starter razor

Just getting started with straight edge shaving. When the straight edge came I wasn’t sure if it was quite sharp enough. Made some mistakes stropping the blade and send it back to be rehoned. When it came back it felt much sharper. This company is very good at educating you with all the videos and emails. I highly recommend razor emporium.

Very Nice Razor for the Money

For the price this razor is very good. Came to me easily passing the HHT. RE does a very good job re-profiling the razor to make subsequent honings much easier.

Impressed - Beginner

No beard to shave however I've wanted to learn how to use a straight razor. So I lady-balls up and bought this one with the leather/canvas strop. Still in the process of learning as I use it on my legs. Not skilled enough for my armpits - I save those for my safety razor. I've got the right leg down flawlessly, left leg is still in progress. Out of the box, this razor was quite sharp. No pulling on the skin and I had a clean first shave. Haven't had to hone it yet, and I'm on my third time using it. I'll use it on the strop after each use. I think next time if I were to get another one, I would get one with a shorter blade as when shaving my legs I don't use the end 1/4" of the blade. Other than that, I really do like it and get a much closer shave on my legs with this versus the safety razor or disposable ones.
