Our razors are manufactured with the same Aerospace processes and in the same facility that produces components for the Mars Rover, International Space station, and production style work on Low Earth Orbit Satellites. This razor is designed and manufactured with extreme precision in mind.

While most of our competition builds in allowance for casting and painting, Henson Shaving required and achieved remarkable less than five ten-thousandth of an inch (0.0005) tolerance on critical dimensions through the machining and anodizing process.

This means your blade sits straight every time. The blade support creates the most accurate blade exposure on the market. Accurate blade exposure combined with our unique design means no vibration in the blade (or chatter). Chatter is what causes razor burn and in-grown hairs.

Henson AL.13 DE Safety Razor - Medium

When my Henson razor arrived, I lathered up my new REX SUPPLY 1966 Shaving soap and gave myself a shave. Based on other reviews, I chose the MEDIUM Henson razor. Turns out it was the right choice. And, what a shave! Smooth!, no sharp edges, no cuts, possibly the best wet shave I have ever had! Delivery was in just a few days. Great shave! Great products! Fast service. Thanks Patrick!

Eh it’s ok

Honestly I expected super smooth. But not what I got. I ordered the more aggressive version due to people saying the mild one is just that too mild. I guess it shaved ok but I got a lot of skipping as well as skin irritation. I usually use my Viking razor and it shaved so much better. I don’t know if it is the fact that you have to make more passes or that my skin just didn’t like it.

This razor, AL13-M, proved to be everything it was advertised to be: easy to handle, simple to take apart and reassemble, and gave me a comfortable, clean shave.

The old saying “less is more” came to fruition in my use of the AL13-M, TAN, Henson razor. I literally went from using an electric razor to a 5-blade razor, and finally to the single-blade, double edge Henson. Without question, 1 is greater than 5–or anything electric.

First shave, worked well

I only shaved with the Henson AL13 Medium once so far, and feel that it's a top tier razor. Even though it's light, very light, the machining of it is very precise and on point. I started DE shaving nearly 8 years ago, and had used a Merkur 34c since then, well until now. I think the Henson maybe my new favorite once I get beyond the learning curve of having to apply a tiny bit of pressure instead of letting the weight of the razor do the work. The 34c is still a good razor but may take more of a backseat role now that I have the AL13.
