Description

Judge Roy Bean, only law west of the Pecos. In addition to being a Judge, he owned a saloon. Jury members were selected from his best customers and were expected to buy a drink during every recess.

The frag for Judge Roy is inspired by Oud Wood from Tom Ford. We ponied up for the extra, extra good oil.

Straight Razor Enthusiast

First I don't review a product unless I have used it at least 4 times and come to the same conclusion. With Judge Roy Bean Shave Soap, the shaving soap does, with the right amount of water, easily create the puffy thick foam that we all love to place on our faces. So excellent job there. My issue unfortunately is the scent. I cannot help but think after placing this soap on my face 6 times so far, that I have been dipped in laundry softener. Its a meh-to-no. It is not unpleasant. it is not too strong. But reminds me of our home on laundry day. So what would make this scent an out-of-the-park hit? Well, think about the name. You need something that is more Texas in a Texas themed soap. I would add maybe cognac, or chew tobacco, or a strong leather or even better some smoky mesquite. With these additions to balance the current scent, Hendrix would nail this soap. I would buy several of that version. But as it is....not for me. From Dallas, Texas.
