So awesome that Razor Emporium makes this replica handle since almost all of the Gillette original handles are cracked. Practically a new razor with the razor guard and cap revamped paired with this ball end replica. Thanks Razor Emporium.

You have done a fine job replicating the historical Gillette razor handle. I used it as a good replacement to a modern razor making it more old school.

I ordered the bare brass version for my 1930's Gillette New Long Comb as the original handle had barely any depth to the knurling making it hard to hold onto and control. The New also requires a smaller mating diameter/geometry than the Old, so not many handles will screw all the way down, but this one does, perfectly. This replica-inspired handle really took my vintage razor into new territory. No only is all the knurling like a modern razor and very grippy, but the balance point completely changed for the better. The weight bears down at the exact point where the head meets the face, making the shave smoother and easier and more tuned. Something tells me these guys did some tweaking/testing before they decided to sell what you are viewing here, which takes it to a whole new level. The machining is not the smoothest, so even using a polish like Flitz on the smooth parts won't get it like a mirror finish but I think instead of a con, it's more like a pro in disguise as the razor is a little more grippy and sure-footed this way. For $20, an absolute steal. Great job RE!
