The razor that they picked didn't have any gouges or deep scrapes so the final result was flawless. All the mechanics were working perfectly, even the audible click from the little red catch when the adjuster dial is turned so the spring is intact too. The rhodium plating was just beautiful and it truly is a mirror finish. Over all I feel like it is in better condition than the day it was manufactured 57 years ago. I cannot think of one thing about the razor I would want to change. Very satisfied.

Ordered June 6th, received June 30th. Not to shabby considering the process. What I got is one bad-ass 60 year old Gillette FatBoy in Rhodium finish in spectacular condition. Anyone that says Rhodium isn't a mirror finish is wrong. This razor is shiny and flawless in every way. BTW it's an aggressive shave at any setting so watch your self. Now it's a matter of pairing it with the right blade. Used Personna for first outa box shave. Got a near BBS shave. Given a little practice it will only get better.

I received my Rhodium plated Gillette Fat Boy razor last week and immediately placed it into service. I have used Feather, Personna Lab Blue, and Gillette 7 O'Clock Green blades in it and have received exceptional shaves with all! I have sensitive skin and regularly use the Feather AS-D2 or the Merkur Futur razors but the Fat Boy surpasses them both. Get a Fat Boy, you will never regret it!

I placed an order for a Rhodium plated Gillette Adjustable Fatboy razor and requested custom gold paint. Razor Emporium was very accommodating and had no problem with finding and applying the gold paint as asked.
