After taking delivery of the razor, my reaction was nothing less than being stunned. The craftsmanship on this 6/8'' Ralf Aust is exceptional — the horn scales are beautifully finished, the American tip gives precise control, and the razor has that perfect balance that makes it feel natural in the hand. The edge arrived perfectly honed and ready to shave. This is a razor that feels both functional and heirloom‑worthy, and it has quickly become the one I reach for first.

Razor is gorgeous and very well made just as expected. It arrived 'shave ready' although mine was not very comfortable to use until I had touched it up on my Suehiro 'Gokumyo' 20K grit stone. It now shaves very well indeed and it is super comfortably. Great blade by Ralf! I ordered another similar Ralf Aust for rotation.

This razor offers a great shave the way it ships. The handles are gorgeous, and the blade shape is remarkable. This steel needs to be cared for. I’ve noticed that spots of corrosion are forming on the spine, but the blade and edge are spotless. I have also noticed slight discrepancies in the grind from side to side. Doesn’t seem to affect the shave, but it’s just something I noticed.

Not as sharp as I like out of the box, but after a hone session on my stones, this razor really gave a great shave. My other razor is a Spanish tip Boker 5/8 that sill gives me a cleaner shave. The build quality of the RA is better and clearly more one of a kind feel. I recommend and and very happy with my purchase. razor emporium was quick in shipping so that was great also.
