What We Do

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. Starting at $35, we offer a professional restoration that helps bring your old-school razor back to its glory days.

*Please Note: Specialty razors include Bottom Dial Fatboy, Red Dot Fatboy, and Toggle Safety Razors.

How it Works

  1. We first clean your razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible.
  2. Next we carefully polish the inside and out of your razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster.
  3. Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of your razor.
  4. We carry out any painting that is needed - numbers on adjusters, tips on super speeds and black handles. We use color-matched powder coating that exactly replicates the original factory colors and process.
  5. Razors are again cleaned and sanitized before being lubricated and mailed back home. We include a free Polishing Cloth that will safely keep the shine on your vintage find!

Why It Matters

Professionally servicing means you'll get the best shaves possible knowing that your razor is functioning as it was designed to. Eliminate common problems that affect shaving performance such as:

  • Bent guards
  • Uneven blade gap
  • Frozen adjusters
  • Loose handles
  • Jammed doors
  • Twist To Open issues
  • Broken Clicker Spring (if you have an adjustable and it doesn't click anymore select the above option)

    An excellent and unique service

I sent two razors for tune-up service: a Gilllette fatboy and a black beauty. The turn around was unbelievably fast. Communication is excellent. And the results were pretty astounding. They look like they were just manufactured and now operate flawlessly. This exceeded my expectations.

A new lease of life to a very cool vintage razor.

As n intro I will have to repeat what I wrote in a private message: "You people at Razor Emporium strive for perfection!" I stent in a P4 "Black Beauty" adjustable razor that was showing signs of light use only, but had a lot of problems positioning that blade correctly. When I contacted RE at a later time inquiring as to the status of the repair, I got an answer stating reserve as to the feasibility of perfect operation of the tuned up piece due to a certain material limitation. Well, I got it back today and I confirmed what I already knew: the key word was "perfect" ie to the crew the result "was not absolutely perfect", which is the standard level of their service and a reflection of their work ethos. To me it is perfect, though. Thank you Tiff, Matt and all!

    Razor Emporium is No. 1

I usually send my razors for re-plating. This time I decided to give the tune-up a try. Except for the plating portion, which I did not purchase, you guys did a fantastic job on my Gillette Slim. It's good as new. No wonder Razor Emporium is No. 1. Good Job, Matt

My Fatboy works just like it was 1961!

I gave them my G-2 Fatboy to tune up, while it took longer than I had anticipated, The work is outstanding, it functions perfectly and shines like new money! This will not be my last razor I send to them! Perfectly satisfied and the personalized service they provided was simply outstanding!
