What We Do

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. Starting at $35, we offer a professional restoration that helps bring your old-school razor back to its glory days.

*Please Note: Specialty razors include Bottom Dial Fatboy, Red Dot Fatboy, and Toggle Safety Razors.

How it Works

  1. We first clean your razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible.
  2. Next we carefully polish the inside and out of your razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster.
  3. Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of your razor.
  4. We carry out any painting that is needed - numbers on adjusters, tips on super speeds and black handles. We use color-matched powder coating that exactly replicates the original factory colors and process.
  5. Razors are again cleaned and sanitized before being lubricated and mailed back home. We include a free Polishing Cloth that will safely keep the shine on your vintage find!

Why It Matters

Professionally servicing means you'll get the best shaves possible knowing that your razor is functioning as it was designed to. Eliminate common problems that affect shaving performance such as:

  • Bent guards
  • Uneven blade gap
  • Frozen adjusters
  • Loose handles
  • Jammed doors
  • Twist To Open issues
  • Broken Clicker Spring (if you have an adjustable and it doesn't click anymore select the above option)

Non turning TTO Paperweight to Beautiful razor

I bought the black 109 with a full disclosure from the seller that the TTO was stuck shut. I paid $8.00 for it, with confidence that Razor Emporium would get it working. Boy did they! It looked brand new when I got it back and everything was working fine. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner at the West Coast Shaving Bash in Pasadena. He assured me it's usually just clogged from not cleaning it properly. I am so pleased at the way the Black Beauty turned out. These guys are pros and know what they are doing. My only complaint was I saw a Fatboy revamped in Rhodium and put it in my cart as it was listed for only $115.00. Evidently they sold it before I could pay. Oh well, someone got a gorgeous razor. If you have a razor which is becoming hard to turn the TTO, send it in. Best $20.00 I ever spent. Don The Navygoat

    Vintage Razor Touch-Up

Great service. Fast work and shipping. Matt and his crew were fantastic to work with, and I couldn't be more pleased at the result. The razor is resplendent.

    Four tune-ups and counting!

I have sent Matt and RE four Gillette DE razors for tune up and one for Re-vamp, and frankly the tuned ups could nearly pass for new. The oldest was from 1955, and the newest from 1974, and the two Super Speeds are in my daily rotation, giving superb service. These are not just great looking, but have all been mechanically checked, adjusted, and lubed, as well as fully sanitized, so the $20 fee is a great bargain. I am not a collector, but every razor I find goes to RE no matter what condition I find them in before being used. This is not a DIY project, folks, and nobody does it better than Razor Emporium - treat your razors and yourself to the best!
