I really like the synthetic knots and the Timeless knot I got for their handle was not stiff enough to provide me a good enough lather for my liking. I ordered a 24mm from RE and have been very impressed with its feel and performance. It is very similar to my Simpson T3 synthetic and had it been a 26mm, would likely edge it out as I like the feel of this one better.
I had two synthetic knots installed during a recent revamp service. The fibers are soft on the face, but scratchy enough to work well with a croap. There is also enough backbone so the knot doesn't flop around or bend too much as you apply the lather. I think they're excellent knots.
Hard to rate, never received it. It’s been a few weeks now and no replacement has been sent or refund offered.
Synthetic knot was used to restore old Made Rite brush. Knot fit was perfect and restored brush looks awesome!
