Razor Polishing & Buffing Cloth

SKU: 6469868

Description

If you're looking for a SAFE way to clean vintage and new safety razors, look no further than our official Razor Polishing Cloth. After years of hearing from our customers that razors were getting damaged from harsh chemicals and polishing compounds, we worked to get small jewelry cloths made up that are safe on nearly EVERY razor model. This cloth contains a polsihing compound - no added products are needed!

Safely cleans Gold, Rhodium, Nickel, Silver, Chrome, Palladium, plastic cases, glass and Aluminum. Great on Straight Razor Scales and Carbon Steel too.

Directions: Rub surface to be polished with medium pressure. Special polishing and cleansing action works until cloth is completely darkened. Do not wash the cloth!

PLEASE NOTE: This cloth contains Polishing Compound. It is NOT A SILK SUNGLASS STYLE Cloth. Rubbing it on metal will create dark stains. This is normal - the act of any polishing is removing the metal on the surface to reveal bright, shiny metal underneath. The metal that comes off stains the cloth dark.

    Best Polishing Cloth Out There

I have used this cloth on both my DE razors and my vintage straight razors as a treatment after using a non-abrasive polishing agent. The results are significantly higher shine over how I received the razors in the first place. It is a must-have item for any serious wet shaver who has razors or vintage razors that tarnish easily.

    Worked as described.

Had two small spots on my Puma No. 9 and it did the trick polishing them out.

Great Product, But Get More Than One!

These great little polishing and buffing cloths are great for refreshing and brightening dull or faded finishes. They are not intended to be general cleaning cloths, but the final step after thoroughly cleaning your razor. The older and more neglected the razor, the more time you will want to spend. But a little time and patience with one of these cloths will restore a razor to its original luster if the plating is intact and the plated surfaces have been properly cleaned beforehand. If you are cleaning and reconditioning a number of razors you will probably want to have more than one of these cloths on hand. They polish by gently removing old plating and dirt from the surface to reveal the fresh, clean finish underneath. This leaves black deposits on the polishing cloth, which is infused with very fine jeweler's rouge and polishing compounds that are far gentler and safer than abrasive polishing creams and pastes. Once the entire cloth is black, it's time for a new one. The cloths are meant to be used dry and should not be washed, and you don't have to apply a lot of elbow grease to get good results. I have used one cloth to restore five vintage razors that needed a good cleaning but had no pitting, rust, or missing plating. They now shine like the day were were made, and I have enough clean space on my cloth to polish at least one more razor. If you use these cloths as intended, you will be very happy with your results. For the price, these polishing cloths are a good value.

Best Polishing Cloth for Vintage Razors

I watched Matt's review on cleaning and polishing vintage razor. It was very helpful. I used Dawn liquid dish soap and Flitz to clean and polish my recently found 1959 Gillette Fatboy razor then used the polishing cloth from RE to buff it. It gleamed! This razor was in good enough shape that it did not need re-plating, just some cleaning and polishing. I highly recommend this polishing cloth to anyone looking to enhance the appearance of the vintage or DE razors that lack luster.
