I have tried a good and varied selection of blades over the last several years and the Gillette Platinums have hands down been the best blades I have come across. Last year I tried to order another 100 of these blades from Razor Emporium and they decided to send me 100 of the Pol-Silvers instead. I had placed my order online, there was no indication they were out of stock online and I was not made aware that they were sending the Pol-Silvers until my order arrived, sure wish they had told me ahead of time. They did include a note and offered a 10% discount on my next order, just wish they would have given me the option to wait for the Platinums to come back in stock.
In my opinion the Pol-Silvers were no where near as good as the 7'Oclock Yellow Gillette blades let alone being in the same class as the Platinums even though they are priced the same. The Pol-Silvers would not allow me any more than three good shaves and then it was new blade time and I would not want them again in the future. The Platinums are good for at least six great shaves before having to get a new blade out.
Just got another order 100 of the Gillette Platinums and am now back to really enjoying the shaving process again - I will not accept any other substitutes in the future ! I called this order in and confirmed they had the Platinums in stock before locking in my order. I highly recommend the Gillette Platinums if you are looking for a very comfortable, smooth and long lasting double edged blade to shave with.
I still feel that the Razor Emporium is a great place to deal with, their service is very quick, friendly and they carry a broad line of products that should allow for one to make a choice that will suit their requirements. I still recommend the Razor Emporium to my friends and to anyone that is inquiring about obtaining shaving products and will continue to do so.
