I'm not going to knock them, but___. I'm used to using Derby Extras and they're just right for me, including longevity and no knicks. I tried a Feather and it was great, but too sharp and aggressive-I knicked myself 6 times with the first shave, so it's back to Derby and I'm happy there.

I have a heavy beard and shave twice a day. After using Astras for a couple of years, I have switched to Feathers. All of the talk about razor burn and irritation scare a lot of people off. I use Feather blades in a Gillette Slim set on 7. It provides a smooth shave which well into the afternoon. I can shave against the grain and there's no burn. The most important thing to do is make sure your lather is slick and well applied. These blades will show any weaknesses in your technique.
